Below are questions that have been emailed to apcl@airportcambio.com concerning employment feel free to email questions or concerns that you may have. Questions that we feel may be asked or could be of interest to others will be answered here and or by email.
Q: Do you hire people living in Portmore?
A: Technically speaking we have no objection to hiring people living anywhere; the problem is in our pickup area, due to the early and late hours of operation all employees must live in safe areas along our pickup route and Portmore is not on our route... Portmore residence must if hired relocate.
Q: Can I pick the shift that I want to work?
A: NO... however if possible we do try to accommodate employees request.
Q: I have sent in my resume' and cover letter but no picture is this ok?
A: Preference will be given toindividuals who have sent in complete information. more information may be requested online or by email of all and or certain applicants. "KEEP CHECKING THIS WEB SITE FOR UPDATES THAT WILL BE ISSUED"
Q: What does LastnameFirtnameRes.doc mean?
A: Due to the volume of resumes pictures and cover letters that we receive it is important that these files be named in a manner that points us to you. Say for example,your name is Kevin Dean then every file that you send like your resume should be named DeanKevinRes.doc a picture would be named DeanKevinPic.jpg
Q: Do you hire people living in Spanish Town
A: Refer to answer for people living in Portmore ... employees need to live along our pickup route which does not include Spanish Town
Q: How long would it take for me to get an interview or a call?
A: Individuals should be contacted via email and or phone within a day of us receiving your application. Interviews will be held soon after receiving a small number of applications.
Q: How soon will individuals be hired?
A: We are looking to hire new tellers as soon as possible.
Q: Are uniforms being offered or would I have to make my own.
A: Uniforms are paid for by Airport Cambio provided that employees remain with Airport Cambio for over 6 months.
Q: I live in Spanish Town and have my own Car will I be considered for employment?
A: Driving from Spanish town to the NMIA on a daily basis is a serious undertaking for a 9-5 position however for a position that at times can begin as early as 5:00 am and at times may go as late as 2:00am this could create difficulties for the person willing to drive this distance at those hours... we will consider such individuals but would prefer individuals who at least have an option to overnight in Kingston if needed.
Q: I have sent in all the information and still have not been called to interview why?
A: We contact applicants on an individual basis one on one to fill positions . If your application has not been sent in then we cannot consider you for current and or future openings.
